
Fees
All assessed fees
are payable at the time of admission. Admission fee is charged one time for
the entire period of the study program and is non-refundable. Tuition fees
can be paid by installment. The dates set in the schedule must be made.
Otherwise, interest will be charged for defaulting period at normal bank rate
or penalty will be charged as specified by the management.

Financial
Regulation
Students must pay
all fees, charges, debts any other specified claims on or before their due
dates. Penalties may be imposed for late payment of fees @ of 1% higher
than the current bank interest or
as determined by the management.
Tuition fee and other charges
are variable:
Students and
guardians must appraise themselves and know the exact amount chargeable
according to the selection of program.
Responsibility for Payment:
i As
students are present on campus; they, jointly with their guarantors, are
responsible to ensure prompt payment of all fees in respect of their
enrolment in any course or subject at UITS.
ii Responsibility
cannot be transferred to any other party, unless an approved scholarship or
other payment arrangements have been agreed to/by the University.
Fees Dates:
ii The
installment payment dates have to be followed. Otherwise, a penalty shall be
imposed for every late installment payment.
Hardship and Special Circumstances:
In case of hardship
or other special circumstances, the Registrar may consider application for
extension or re-scheduling of installment.
Application must be
in writing, stating the reasons why payment cannot be made and the duration
of the extension sought.
Refund/Transfer of course fees
Students are
entitled to a refund under the following terms and conditions:
1. Those who drop a course
on or before the last day of Add/Drop period is entitled to a transfer of
course fee in the succeeding semester. If the action is beyond the Add/ Drop
period, then it will be considered withdrawal and no refund nor course fee
transfer is allowed.
2. Those who
completely drop from the university for meritorious reasons will be entitled
to the following:
i. On or before the
last day of Add/Drop period - 75 %
refund of course fees
ii. On or before the
last day of withdrawal of courses - 25% of course fees
The refund will be released after deducting all
outstanding fees.
Penalties for Non-compliance:
Unless alternative
arrangements have been made to the satisfaction of the university, students
who:
§ fail to pay their
dues, or
§ fail to make the
agreed repayment of any dues to the University-
- they will not be allowed to continue
classes;
- their test results will be withheld;
- and they will not be permitted to
re-register without settling the past dues.
Scholarship and Financial Support
Undergraduate Scholarship
Meritorious
students are awarded special scholarship on the basis of their HSC, A Level
Exams or Diploma (Engineers) marks as follows:
GPA 4.7 to 5
- 100% Tuition fee waiver
2 A’s at A level exams
- 100%
GPA 4.5 to 4.69 -
80%
Grand of Financial Assistance
Regular students
are eligible for financial assistance, which includes campus student
employment, tuition fee waiver, or reduced school fees if they maintain a
CGPA of 3.0 or better. Evaluation of eligible applicants will be based on
substantiated financial need and overall ranking in the University.
Eligible students
may apply for financial assistance every term. Application should be made on
or before the official end of the previous term. Late applications will not
be entertained.
Newly admitted
students may also apply for financial assistance if their HSC is 3.0 or
above. Again, their evaluation will be based on substantiated financial need
and overall HSC ranking from among newly admitted students.
Special Payment Plan
A special provision for payment of fees and other financial dues may be arranged with the Office of the Registrar to ease out the financial burden of the family.
